Listed below is a summary of our Production procedure. You can also see some images of these processes.

Production Manufacturing Lead Time
Production lead times will differ depending on the circumstances. Our manufacturing lead time for large bulk high volume orders is generally around 40-55 days for apparel (graduation gowns, sweatshirts, ect.), this is based on using local materials (China). Depending on the style and quantity ordered the production manufacturing lead time may vary. Our production schedule is only valid providing that prior to receiving orders all materials, hang tags, color ways, labels, packaging and fitting samples have been approved in advance. If there are any unconfirmed issues after the initial order has been received the above mentioned manufacturing lead times may fluctuate.

Quality Control
We guarantee precision in each and every element of our Quality Control process. Our work group managers (line supervisors) perform training prior to each production to our workers to ensure that each component is made precisely according to approved pre-production samples. Throughout this process a rigorous Quality Control system is in place to ensure the final product quality meets the high standards our customers expect. We implement Japanese Kaizen principles ensuring continued improvement for all aspects of production and final Quality Control. AQL standards are set and every section has both in-line and final QC inspection. At Oz Garments, we also welcome your outside QC team to visit at any stage of the production process. Detailed photos can also be sent to our customers throughout the manufacturing process per their request.

Fabric Cutting
Upon receiving fabrics from our material suppliers, our manufacturing plant inspectors will inspect the fabrics to ensure that all materials are totally free of any defects. When the order is scheduled for production the fabrics will be placed on the cutting table in layers. Markers made for each panel of the product will be placed on top of the fabric pile and we will begin the cutting process with the aid of our specialized instruments.

Embroidery and Printing
Prior to material reaching our sewing lines, fabric panels must go through embroidery or printing if needed. The fabric sections have to lie flat on the embroidery machine or printing table. For embroidery we use the well known and highly respected Japanese Tajima embroidery machines and for print we only use the highest quality inks.

We use a range of quality sewing machines. The printed or embroidered panels will be passed to the sewing lines where they are being stitched together with other fabric panels, zippers, badges and strips of Velcro into a fully constructed gown.

Assembling & Finishing
When products leave our sewing lines they will go to our finishing section where the gowns/robes are re-checked and prepared for packaging. The gowns will be ironed and double checked for packing.

Following a series of rigid inspection processes, the products are made ready for packaging. We normally package products according to our buyers' requirements and as such use no standard cartons. Most products are packed in individual clear poly bags and then packed into strong 8-ply export cartons guaranteeing a safe transport to destination. We can also print custom poly bags and cartons at our customer’s request. We do not recommend using shipping cartons that are too heavy - normal carton gross weights should be 8-16 kilograms.
